November 5, 2014 - The second stop of the 2014-15 WDSA women’s pro doubles tour, the six-team Cincinnati Open benefiting Emanuel Squash, a youth-enrichment organization that launched earlier this year, will kick off on Friday with a pair of quarterfinal matches. The Canadian duo of Marci Sier and Tara Mullins will face veteran Philadelphians Amy Milanek and Dawn Gray, with the winner to then face top seeds Narelle Krizek and Tarsh McElhinny, champions at the season-opening Philadelphia Open last month, on Saturday. In the draw’s bottom half, second seeds and 2013 U. S. National Doubles titlists Steph Hewitt and Dana Betts will await a semifinal against whichever team emerges from the other quarterfinal match between Emily Lungstrum/Tehani Guruge and Karen Jerome/Vic Simmonds. The final will take place on Sunday.
