-The Oregon Open 2015 is set to begin Monday in idyllic downtown
Portland Oregon. Players battling it out on the courts of the Multnomah
Athletic Club can emerge for a break to stroll the streets of this
vibrant city, where snow-capped Mount Hood floats above
neighborhoods packed with trendy bars, espresso shops, music venues and
funky, celebrity-chef-run restaurants. There may be blizzards raging
across much of the rest of the U.S. this week, but the weather in
Portland is forecast to be sunny and mild.
“The growing Portland squash community is eagerly looking forward
to experiencing a showcase of world-class squash first hand,” says
tournament chair Anders Giltvedt. Ticket sales for the Oregon Open 2015
are up 25% over the 2014 Oregon Open, an indication of the growing
squash community in Portland and the strong field of professionals from
around the globe who have entered.
