HEAD SQUASH PROFESSIONAL

The T Squash Center (www.thet.us) in Cincinnati, Ohio is looking for a Head Squash Professional to lead our growing program.  The T opened in January 2012 and has successfully built a strong junior and adult membership in a city where there is high growth potential for the sport.  Our facility includes five (5) singles squash courts, fitness room, bar and lounge area, and a men’s and women’s locker room.  We also manage a three (3) squash court facility in an adjacent health club, the Cincinnati Sports Club.  This makes us the largest squash facility in Cincinnati with a fast growing junior squash program and a growing men’s and woman’s program.  For some snapshots of recent club activity, visit our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/TSquash.

Position Summary:

The Head Squash Pro is required to provide high level customer service to members and guests.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Growing our junior squash program, which includes a school based league structure and a national traveling junior team
Ability to motivate children and make learning fun and productive
Teaching lessons, clinics and camps to adults and children
Willingness to work on weekends
Tournament and league organization
Assistance in pro shop sales
Assist with special club projects, events and promotions as requested
Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response
Actively assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the squash area and club; enforce club rules and policies

Applicants should have:
    
Valid US Work Visa
Coaching Experience: Have at least four years coaching experience at all levels-- adult and juniors, from beginners to top club level.
Playing experience: 6.0 or High college standard with competitive tournament playing experience
A genuine passion to teach the game
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills and computer skills including Excel and Windows
Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and anticipate needs
Professional presentation and attitude
Team Player – work well with management and staff

Compensation for this position is based on candidate’s previous experience. This is a salaried position and the Head Teaching Pro can also earn money through a percentage of their squash lesson revenue.
