Description: The Winnipeg Squash Racquet Club; one of Canada's Premiere Private Men's Clubs.

Established in 1909, the WSRC is committed to providing the best squash, health, and social facilities for the enjoyment and benefit of its members. Squash is thriving and has been embraced by many of our newer members wanting to engage in a top level physical and mental workout.

Our 4 international courts and doubles court host many leagues, exhibitions, tournaments, and fun events. Our junior program introduces squash to our younger future members and will ensure strong players for years to come.

Private lessons and a well stocked Pro shop are available to the membership.

Reporting directly to the General Manager the Squash Professional’s responsibilities will include:

· Own and Operate a "Pro Shop" at the WSRC for the benefit of the Winnipeg Squash Racquet Club and its members;
· To actively participate in Squash Manitoba and promote the interests of the Winnipeg Squash Racquet Club provincially and nationally
· Oversee the squash department, including adult and junior coaching programs
· Coordinate and promote, and expand the men’s squash leagues, drop-ins, tournaments and social events
· Plan and implement club wide member tournaments, events and social gatherings with the assistance of members committees and other interested parties
· Run local and provincial tournaments to help raise the club profile
· Provide monthly reports for board meetings
· Maintain profiles, database information and levels of activities of squash members
· Actively recruits new squash players
· Leads by example in the role of Ambassador at Club events and tournaments
· Teach private lessons, group lessons and camps as required.
· Participate in social events as required.
· Perform all administrative duties required for all areas of responsibility.
· Ensure squash courts and surrounding areas are maintained in top quality condition.
· Manage and sustain an annual squash budget which considers all squash programs and tournaments as outlined above
· Work closely with Club committees to develop successful programs and events

Qualifications:

· Squash NCCP Level 3
· Current National and International experience
· Experience running international and professional level events
· Excellent public relations, interpersonal and communications skills
· Current CPR / First Aid Training (or willing to be trained)
· Computer proficiency
· Enthusiasm and reliability
· Strong planning and organizational skills
· Experience coaching at all levels, including professional and national level athletes
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Strong playing and coaching background
· Well rounded verbal and written communication skills
· Advanced organizational skills with the ability to work in a team environment
