Rothenberg Foundation Invites All to Saturday Pro Semifinals and Party
by Corey Modeste

April 10, 2015 - The Rothenberg Foundation invites all members of the squash community to the Rothenberg pro squash semifinals and party this Saturday evening (April 11th) at the Eastern Athletic Club.  The event begins at 5:00 pm.  The event is  free for all amateur players in the Rothenberg tournament and $20 for guests. We will be serving a full buffet dinner from Brooklyn Heights' Lantern Thai Restaurant and will also have wine, soft drinks and craft beer on tap courtesy of the Jeffrey Bar NYC.

The men's pro field is an interesting blend of established stars and upcoming challengers, with no clear favorite and a number of entrants capable of winning. PSA standouts Ryan Cuskelly, Christopher Gordon, Arthur Gaskin and  Shahier Razik headline the field for the eight-man pro field set to compete at the quarterfinals beginning on Friday April 10th. Columbia University senior and No. 1 Ramit Tandon, a finalist in the 2012 Intercollegiate Individual tourney, is slated to compete in the pro event, as are former PSA top-10 Wael El Hindi, current Yale assistant coach Lewis Walters and Seth Sunil. The complete draw is available here.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Rothenberg Foundation, which is devoted to raising money to fund scholarships for underprivileged students graduating from urban squash programs.
