John White, Mohamed El Sherbini Advance in PST Albany Open
from Tour Media

Is that the great Larry Sconzo in the crowd?

April 13, 2012
- Pro Squash Tour returned to Albany for this year's Albany Open and began the tournament with two rounds at Siena College. Kyle and Dan Sleasman, who run the college program, also competed in the tournament.

Ned Marks (USA) was a surprise early withdrawl as Randy Lim (Malaysia) won his PST debut over Marks in four games. South Africa's TG Raubenheimer had an impressive opening round victory over Mohamed Nabil (Egpyt). Supreet Singh (India) looked to be in good form as he dispatched Andrew Kriete (USA) in three games.

Adrian Leanza (USA) got the revenge he was looking for over Shahid Khan (England), who beat him in least month's Pyramid Open Championship match. PST star Mohamed El Sherbini (Egpyt) looked very strong in beating Robert McDavid (Guyana) in three games.

The most enthusiastic applause of the night definitely belonged to Kyle Sleasman as he faced John White, who is seeking to defend his 2011 Albany Open Championship.

Sleasman played well in facing the legendary big hitter, but White was simply too strong for Albany's #1 player.
