- The world's 10th and 12th-ranked women squared off in yesterday's Texas Open championship, and it was #10 Camille Serme of Paris prevailing in a tight four-gamer over New Zealander Joelle King to capture the 2012 title.

King had advanced to the final without the loss of a game, while Serme went four with Mexico's Samantha Teran in her semi.

Organizer Ian Munro said about the final:

"Great deception and relentless ball retrieving by Semre frustrated the superb counter play of Joelle King who was also firing on all cylinders. Both players flawless technique was on display in spades and the crowd was treated to an hour of some of the best squash ever played in Houston."

Finals, $25,000 2012 WSA Texas Open
