Ramy Ready for San Francisco Return
from PSA Media

22ND SEP 2015 - Maverick 2014 World Champion Ramy Ashour says he is ready to give 100 per cent on court when he makes his latest comeback to the PSA World Tour circuit at the 2015 NetSuite Open in San Francisco this week.

‘The Artist’ has been absent from action on the professional circuit since retiring against Omar Mosaad during the Grasshopper Cup in April but the three-time World Champion will hope he has put his injury nightmares to bed ahead of the PSA M100 tournament – which will also feature the likes of World No.2 Nick Matthew, World No.3 Gregory Gaultier and World No.4 Miguel Angel Rodriguez.

“I'm just going to go on court and do what I have to do,” said Ashour.

Ashour’s comeback at the NetSuite Open will be shown live on SQUASHTV. To make sure you don’t miss a moment of the action, we’re offering an incredible 33 per cent off a monthly subscription for six months. Visit SQUASHTV and use coupon code 33SQUASHTV.

“I was so close to losing a lot of matches last season and just the thought of that, and knowing that I’m not 100% out of breath after a rally, means that everything changes – I will make sure that I don’t slack and I give more than 100% on every shot.

“It’s a tough draw but the draws just keep on getting harder and harder. I prefer playing shortened draws because it’s more explosive – you can do so much in four days.

“Every day is like a week so one day makes so much difference and I’m really looking forward to getting the event started.”
