John Lau's University Club to Host 8th Annual SF Open Doubles from Tour Media September 22, 2015
- The eighth annual San Francisco Open Doubles Championships will be
held at The University Club over it's traditional weekend from Thursday
October 29th - Sunday November 1st, 2015.
Formerly known as the Eastside Doubles Squash Championship, and before
that known as the "Rittenhouse", the San Francisco Open has been a
doubles tournament with a grand tradition and has been annually hosted
at the University Club of San Francisco since 1985.
This year's edition is sponsored by Sweet and Baker Insurance Brokers, and Blaxter Blackman LLP.
US Squash sanctioned events will include: Men's Open, B, Div. II (C
& D players), 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+, Women's Open, Women’s B, and Open
Mixed.
Entrants will receive a tournament gift. Hospitality will include
a Friday night cocktail party, Saturday and Sunday continental
breakfast, and Saturday and Sunday box lunch, Refreshments and
snacks will be available throughout the tournament.
One of the principle goals of this year’s tournament committee was to
ensure that fees for players and their guests remain at last year’s
levels (despite risings costs) while maintaining the quality and high
standards set by previous committees. This tournament is best
know for providing the highest quality of squash in each age category
attracting teams from all over the United States and Canada.
To help offset rising costs, we have introduced a Patronage category of participation.
Platinum Patron $500.00
Gold Patron $350.00
Silver Patron $250.00
If you would like to support the tournament as a patron, please
indicate this when you submit your entry form. Patrons and
sponsors of all levels will receive a commemorative gift and the
ability to enter two classes without paying an extra fee.
Entry form can be accessed at uclubsf.org. Entry and full payment
must be received by the Club no later than Friday October 23rd to
guarantee your participation.
